Game Highlight:

NBA Highlights - Game Report

The Golden State Warriors kept their playoff hopes alive by defeating the Lakers 121-106 at home in Game 5 of their second-round series. The Lakers might have suffered another setback, with Anthony Davis sustaining an injury in the fourth quarter after taking a hit to the head from Kevin Looney's forearm. While Davis appeared too dizzy to walk on his own and left in a wheelchair, there was some good news following the game, and we will update the situation as information becomes available. With Game 6 scheduled for Friday, Davis' availability will be a crucial storyline in this series over the next two days.

Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins were standout performers for the Warriors, with Green scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds while Wiggins added 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Stephen Curry had another solid performance, although he struggled with his 3-point shot, finishing 3 of 11 from deep. He compensated for this by getting to the rim, hitting in the midrange, and finding teammates for eight assists to go with his 27 points.

LeBron James led the Lakers with 25 points, followed by Davis with 23, and they each had nine boards. However, the Lakers were unable to keep up with the Warriors' pace after halftime and never threatened the home team's lead.

The Warriors, who have never lost a Western Conference playoff series under Steve Kerr, are now 8-2 in elimination playoff games since 2015, and their only losses came in Game 7 of the 2016 Finals and Game 6 of the 2019 Finals. This performance is a testament to their resilience, and they have shown that they are not going to give up without a fight.

If Klay Thompson and Curry find their shot, Golden State will be a formidable opponent. The Lakers remain in a better position, but if the Warriors force a Game 7, they will have a significant advantage playing at home with the momentum on their side. However, if Davis is unable to play, the Lakers will have a significant disadvantage. The focus now is on Davis's recovery, and we hope to see him on the court in Game 6 on Friday.
