Rain or Shine VS Terrafirma Dyip Game Prediction

PBA Odds the E-Painters are targeting their fourth victory against the Dyip.

RAIN or Shine has caught the attention of many in the initial stages of the PBA On Tour by maintaining an undefeated record in their first three games. Even coach Yeng Guiao expresses his surprise, though he emphasizes that there are other aspects that hold more significance than accumulating wins in a non-impactful tournament . "I never really thought about it (3-0). I don't have any expectations in the PBA On Tour. It's not yet a real competition, and we haven't faced the strong teams yet," explained the experienced coach.

If anything, Guiao echoed what most of the other coaches admitted regarding their true objective in the 11-game tournament. "For us, if we lack playing time during the playoffs because our exposure is limited, this is important because it's our way to learn," he said.

"This is our way to build teamwork, camaraderie, bonding, and our system," Guiao added. "I'm receiving positive feedback from our team regarding the adjustments and tweaks we're implementing. We're tweaking our rotation and system, and they are responding well. We will carry this into the regular season."

To gauge the progress of his team, Guiao will have a clearer picture when his Rain or Shine squad faces Terrafirma on Sunday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Terrafirma is coming off a 104-92 victory against TNT last Wednesday and aims for a consecutive win to even their record at 2-2.

Meanwhile, the Elasto Painters managed to hold on to a narrow 100-98 victory over San Miguel Beer, despite almost squandering a 24-point lead.

Guiao emphasized that one should not place too much significance on their team's recent win.

"We don't really attach too much importance to it because we are aware that the San Miguel team we beat didn't have Jericho Cruz, CJ Perez, June Mar Fajardo, Marcio Lassiter, and Chris Ross. So, it's satisfying to say that we defeated San Miguel, but it doesn't hold much weight," he said.

In fact, the outcome of the games against NLEX and Phoenix Super LPG does bring one positive aspect.

"It confirms the value of our approach, the effectiveness and efficiency of the system we have implemented," said Guiao. "However, for us, the experience gained is the most crucial."

Terrafirma, on the other hand, will have to cope without Kevin Ferrer, as the forward is anticipated to be sidelined for a minimum of 10 months due to an Achilles injury he suffered early in the TNT game. (NC)
