Ginebra VS San Miguel Prediction

Ginebra marks its first appearance against San Miguel in the PBA on Tour. A transformed Barangay Ginebra San Miguel squad sets off its PBA on Tour journey on Sunday night, taking on San Miguel Beer at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The Gin Kings, who clinched the Commissioner's Cup title but narrowly missed out on a three-peat in the Governors' Cup last season, have assembled a lineup that excludes key players such as Scottie Thompson, Jamie Malonzo, and Japeth Aguilar.

Coach Tim Cone has handed over coaching responsibilities to assistant Richard del Rosario for the pre-season tournament, as Cone himself, along with the Gilas Pilipinas players, focuses on preparations for the upcoming FIBA World Cup from August 25 to September 10.

Despite the absence of national team stalwarts, the popular team relies on Christian Standhardinger, Jeremiah Gray, Stanley Pringle, Nards Pinto, and Aljon Mariano, while also granting more playing time to surprise contributors Jared Dillinger, Von Pessumal, Raymond Aguilar, and Jason David.

Ginebra's 3x3 regulars, including John Ubalde, Ralph Salcedo, Ralph Cu, Kim Aurin, Donald Gumaru, and JJ Espanola, are also part of the campaign that kicks off against the Beermen at 7:30 p.m.

PBA Odds San Miguel Beer, on the other hand, is not fielding a full-strength lineup, with only Terrence Romeo, Mo Tautuaa, Jericho Cruz, and backup players Rodney Brondial, Allyn Bulanadi, Jeepy Faundo, and Rob Herndon taking part in the tour.

Coach Jorge Gallent has been experimenting with veteran Noy Baclao and aspiring players Marvin Lee, Chester Saldua, Leo de Vera, and John Apacible in the absence of key players June Mar Fajardo, CJ Perez, Chris Ross, Marcio Lassiter, and Vic Manuel.

Following their dominant 87-75 victory over NorthPort, which evened their record at 1-1 after an initial 101-106 loss to Phoenix, the Beermen now face the Gin Kings in their upcoming match.
