Game Highlights

Game Reports

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, who was awarded the Best Import shortly before the start of Game 4, gathered his TNT colleagues for a photo opportunity at midcourt while praising "teamwork."

And they showed that mindset on the court, cooperating and fighting as a unit to thrash the surprised Barangay Ginebra team 116-104 on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to forge a 2-2 tie in their PBA Recap Highlights - PBA Governor's Cup 2023 best-of-seven matchup.

After his coronation, Jefferson got to work and was rewarded with an early nap when he was eliminated with the Tropang Giga comfortably ahead at 115-99 and a time reduction to 1:49.

The six-year NBA veteran put up 36 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and three steals while receiving all the assistance he needed from his teammates in front of a crowd of around 17,000 spectators.

The series is now down to an essentially best-of-three matchup, and Jefferson and his teammates performed with incredible grit in another significant comeback victory.

On Wednesday at the Big Dome as well, the Tropang Giga and Gin Kings compete for the crucial 3-2 lead.

Each TNT player reacted in the affirmative when coach Jojo Lastimosa asked his troops to play with a mindset that they don't want to lose, even Kib Montalbo, who filled in well for the injured RR Pogoy.

Montalbo declared, "I prepared for this moment," making two significant treys that helped TNT establish the tone of the game early on.

The generous guard scored 16 points overall, including a Hail Mary three-pointer to end the opening frame and give the Tropang Giga a 59-41 lead.

Lastimosa was also chosen to play Kelly Williams in place of Pogoy and Justin Chua, and the former the PBA MVP also made a contribution.
